Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. Although close to everything we felt secluded. We ventured around the island some, but always found ourselves wanting to head back to the north. Hanalei is a fun little town that didn't get to crazy busy. The food options are plenty in town ranging in price. Our favorite restaurant was Happy Talk in Princeville. The views and vibe were incredible. Tunnels and Hideaway were our favorite beaches. We saw 10-15 turtles per day in the water, which the kids really loved. When facing water the far right of the beach was best. The hike down to hideaway is a bit sketchy, so dont bring to much gear. We did try deep sea fishing and caught a 130lb tuna, and another 8 smaller ones. The captain gave us one of the smaller ones and enjoyed it for several days in the house. The ocean was rough, and if you are prone to motion sickness medication is a must. We also went zip lining and had a good time. Highly recommend hiking the Kalalau trail. Beautiful hike down the coast. We found it a little strenuous, but not to bad. You must get your permit exactly 30 days before, or you will not get a permit. I had to try a couple days to get one. The birds in the early morning at the house are like a symphony. The only problem I have was the rooster down the hill at 4:00am! (haha).
